Solar Social Byron Bay 17 July Wrap

We had another cracker Solar Social networking event in Byron Bay for our quarterly meet-up on 17th July!

Russell French presented on “How to Tell a Better Marketing Story to Your Customers”, using the three core criteria of Belief, Belonging and  Behaviour that has been shared previously on this Blog.

ITP Renewables staff Rob Passey and John Jordan, supported by Muriel Watt, presented on their project BatteryLab, which is funded by ARENA and compares 18 different types of lithium-ion batteries. They also shared their new project DERLab (Distributed Energy Resources Lab) and how the network is changing with these distributed resources.

We had special guests Nigel Morris, Director of Business Development at Solar Analytics, Giles Parkinson, Founder of Renew Economy, Belinda Kinkead, Director at L03 Energy, Alexander Kinross-Rowe at Juice Capital, Nick Lake, Director at Energy Labs and Felicity Stenning, CEO from Enova Energy also attend and share their latest company updates.

He served as the Secretary & Convenor for the Melbourne Chapter of the Smart Energy Council of Australia (formerly Australian Solar Council) for 5 years and is the Founder of Solar Social, a new and innovative meet-up bringing together like minded businesses and professionals to discuss innovation and the latest technology developments.
